What we say is important and at times, prophetic and powerful.
So to avoid being the accidental prophet we must guard our heart.
Proverbs 4:23 tells us that, “above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” – NIV.
What ‘we do’ would include what ‘we say’.
When I’m upset, I say things that hurt.
When I’m anxious, I can be careless with my words.
When full of pride, I speak nonsense.
‘Above all else’.
Solomon, the wisest, reminding us, of how crucial it is, to guard our hearts.
So friends, guard your heart.
