I’m not sure how I fully feel about AI. So much is unknown about it and yet it seems that we are going full steam ahead (old tech analogy) with little regard to any kind of guard rails.
I heard someone say about chat gpt, that there was nothing to worry about, it’s just a language model.
Genesis 1, tells us that the universe was created through speech.
And again in John 1:1-3, “in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made”.
And then in John 1:14 – “The Word became flesh”.
I wrote how words matter because words create matter the other day, so I’ll leave it there for today.
I do wonder about the changes, the creative power (for maybe good – though I’m doubtful) that a language model like Chat GPT and future models might have.
I have used chat GPT to get ideas every now and then and it has been useful.
But I felt the Lord remind me this morning of something so much better than any AI.
We have access to the Holy Spirit.
An infinite, all knowing, all understanding Being.
Not artificial and with access to a database beyond our comprehension.
And the Bible reminds us that we “have the mind of Christ” – 1 Corinthians 2:16
